How to Install Apache and PHP 5.3 on CentOS 6

*WARNING* For this how to we will be using a third party yum repository.

First we will install the third party repository provided by Atomicorp. More details can be found here: Atomicorp Website

To install their yum repository run the below command as root user:

# wget -q -O - http://www.atomicorp.com/installers/atomic | sh

Agree to the terms by hitting enter.

Now lets install Apache, Mod_SSL and PHP 5.3

# yum -y install httpd mod_ssl php

You can now type php -v at the command prompt to see php is now installed:

# php -v
PHP 5.3.22 (cli) (built: Feb 22 2013 10:26:45)
Copyright (c) 1997-2013 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2013 Zend Technologies

You can now start apache.

# service httpd start
Starting httpd:                                            [  OK  ]

You now have successfully installed Apache, Mod_SSL and PHP 5.3 on Centos 6.

    Yes, I can install php 5.3.xx for my centos 6, php 5.4 not support suhosin, lol
